WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?

Open to undergraduate and graduate students age 18 or older who wish to learn the Arabic language and to discover Arabic-speaking Morocco by immersing themselves in an arabophone culture

WHERE WILL THE PROGRAM TAKE PLACE?

Language and culture classes are taught by Arabic speaking Moroccan instructors Agadir, Morocco. Agadir is located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, near the foot of the Atlas Mountains, just north of the point where the Souss River flows into the ocean. Agadir is not a typical city of traditional Morocco, but a modern, busy and dynamic town. Agadir is famous for its sea food and agriculture.


Some of the most beautiful beaches in Morocco are located to the north of Agadir. Areas also known for excellent surfing are located near Taghazout village to Cap Ghir. Many smaller and clean beaches are located along this coast.


Agadir is the perfect site for a foreign immersion experience.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from Agadir, ALC will arrange pickups from Agadir or Marrakech Airports. Assistance will be provided in making travel arrangements.

WHAT COURSES CAN I TAKE?

Arabic Language Center in Morocco offers Arabic courses for non-native speakers of Arabic at three levels: elementary, intermediate and advanced. Advanced courses may include the study of Arabic literature and culture. Placement tests will be given to all student prior to the start of the program and determines the level at which the students starts their programs.

WHERE WOULD I LIVE?

Participants typically live in a hotel close to school. Students who live in the hotel can use the kitchen or dine outside. two meals per day  will be provided to students at no cost.
